Crazy Horse leather is genuine leather that has been treated with oils and waxes during the tanning and finishing process. This creates its distinctive texture, soft feel and naturally distressed appearance.
The leather is intentionally designed to show marks, scratches and variations, giving the strap its authentic rustic and vintage character from the moment you receive it.
As the strap is worn, the leather will gradually develop a unique patina. The colour can naturally change through contact with the wrist and everyday use, while scratches can often be rubbed or worked into the leather to reduce their appearance.
Because this is a naturally characterful leather, no two straps will age in exactly the same way.
Important Crazy Horse Leather Care
Crazy Horse leather is not waterproof.
These straps are relatively delicate compared with heavily finished or coated leathers and will mark and wear with use. This is an intentional characteristic of the material and contributes to its vintage appearance.
Keep the strap away from water, swimming, showering and excessive moisture. Water can affect the colour, surface finish and overall appearance of the leather.
