Risk breaking/losing your watch

It seemed like just what I wanted; I really liked the look and feel of it, the clasp seemed decent, and it wasn't hard to fit.

But the absolutely fatal flaw is in the mechanism for closing the loop. It allows you to slide the opposite piece of the bracelet in by the desired amount, and then swing down a little metal flap to hold it in place. Quick and easy, but also weak. It can - and does - open without notice, which if course means the whole thing instantly drops off your arm.
The few times it happened to me I was lucky enough to be standing on carpet or sitting on a couch. But I realised that if it had happened while I was standing on a hard surface like concrete, or sitting with my arm out the window of a car, then my watch would've been destroyed.

It would be bad enough if the clasp randomly released, which would expand the bracelet and cause it to slide up or down your arm, but you might at least have some chance to catch it. With this issue there isn't the slightest hint, it's just gone.

As nice as it looks, it's not worth wrecking or losing your whole watch.
