What Size Watch Band Do I Need for a 40mm Watch?

For a 40mm Apple Watch, you'll need a watch band that is labelled as compatible with a 40mm Apple Watch model. Our watch straps come in two sizes, with one covering 38mm, 40mm and 41mm Apple Watches and the other 42mm, 44mm, 45mm, and 49mm. Because Apple Watch straps aren’t made for individual sizes but rather for three to four sizes, they come with integrated connectors for you to fit the strap to your specific watch.

Does a 41mm Strap Fit a 40mm Apple Watch?

Whilst this wouldn’t be possible with a traditional watch without the use of specially sized pins, a 41mm strap will fit a 40mm Apple Watch because the straps for Apple Watches are typically made to fit more than one size, as mentioned above.

Can You Wash Apple Watch Bands?

  1. Silicone, Rubber and Nylon Bands: These are the easiest to clean. Use a mild soap and water to gently scrub the band. Rinse thoroughly and let it air dry.
  2. Leather Bands: Avoid soaking leather bands in water. Instead, use a damp cloth to wipe the surface and a dry cloth to remove excess moisture. Use a leather conditioner periodically to maintain the band’s quality.
  3. Metal Bands: For metal bands, use a soft, damp cloth to clean. If needed, you can use a small amount of mild soap. Make sure to dry the band completely to avoid any water spots.

Always detach the band from the watch before cleaning and ensure it is completely dry before reattaching it. Regular cleaning helps maintain the appearance and longevity of your Apple Watch band.
